The mission of the wyoming wool growers association is to assist or support its members in any appopriate activity that would benefit them in the business of sheep, lamb and wool, goat or livestock production in the state of woming, and in the management and enhancement of wyoming's natural resource base.

Develop and secure optimum markets for sheep and other livestock and their products. Promote and improve marketing opportunities for livestock through an annual ram sale and ram testing. offer wyoming youth an opportunity to learn first-hand how to raise a flock of sheep and the sheep industry in general through the youth flock program. Youths participated in the program offer special projects and outreach programs including make it yourself with wool and sheep lead through the wyoming wool growers auxiliary.
