The american society for veterinary clinical pathology is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of scientific advancement, education and standards in veterinary laboratory medicine.

The veterinary clinical pathology journal is published quarterly for members and institutional subscribers to inform them of current research, meetings and other society information. The journal is shared by ecvcp, the european clinical pathology society, with an annual distribution of over 750 clinical pathologists worldwide. an annual conference was held in conjunction with the american college of veterinary pathologists and the society for toxicologic pathology in new orleans, louisiana, december 3-7, 2016. Approximately 110 people attended an asvcp preconference workshop. Total attendance for the combined meeting was 1,119.
