Causes

Programs

The women's fund for the fox valley region provided 53 grants to 32 different organizations to provide leadership development and positively impact the health, safety and economic security of women and girls in the fox valley region. The number of grants is up 17% from the prior fiscal year. Average grant size decreased slightly from $2,245 to $2,164. Grant making included a sixth year of our successful girls' grant making project which engages high school age girls in a leadership and philanthropy education experience. We also continued our community education efforts by holding a panel discussion about youth mental health in our community which included local nonprofits and a staff member from menasha joint school district. The panel preceded our annual luncheon event which featured keynote speaker, liza long. In march we held our second annual women's philanthropy forum to teach women about personal finance and how to determine their charitable interests. We started work on a new initiative to use a two-generational approach to help young single mothers and their children create a new vision for their future economic security.
