Ascension St Elizabeth Foundation Inc

Mission

Our mission as part of a catholic health care system is to further the healing ministry of jesus by continually improving the health and well-being of all people, especially the poor, in the communities we serve.

Causes

Programs

One of the primary purposes of the foundation is to raise funds in support of projects and programs at st. Elizabeth hospital and related entities, including affinity medical group clinics and calumet medical center. During fiscal 2017, the foundation provided grants to st. Elizabeth hospital, ascension calumet hospital and network health system for critical patient programs, research, and medical equipment. In addition, the foundation is in the process of raising funds for a major renovation and expansion project at calumet medical center. the other primary purpose of the foundation is to be involved in community development by engaging in and giving grants to numerous events and activities throughout the appleton, wisconsin area which benefit the community's health care, poor, and under-privileged. The foundation supports programs and services for its economically disadvantaged neighbors who are underinsured, uninsured or lack the financial means to adequately cover their medical bills. each year, the foundation offers awards for academic study to eligible affinity health system employee children from area high schools (public, private, or home-schooled) who have demonstrated excellence in scholastic achievement, high moral character and a stated interest in human health service careers. In conjunction with affinity health system's mission, vision and values, special consideration is given to those students in need. the foundation also maintains the dr. C. Christopher wallace memorial fund and the dr. C. Christopher wallace physician fund to support affinity health system physicians and employees traveling to third-world countries on medical missions. During fy 2017, seven individuals received grants towards such mission trips to provide medical care to third world countries.
