To build a public swimming pool

All activities were stopped due to a suit over pool location. Suit was settled at the end of 2007. Pool committee has been working on agreement with the ymca to operate the pool which requires some new architectural design to meet ymca's requirements. This agreement was signed in 2009. At the suggestion of the ymca, the committee will return to fund raising efforts as soon as the city approves the site plan. All of 2010 and 2011 was consumed with the permit process. The committee expects to obtain the permit before the end of 2013.
