Afceas 134 chapter events give engineers, programmers, managers, government officials and military personnel continuing opportunities to exchange ideas. Afcea chapters conduct symposia and seminars in addition to other chapter activities. Education is an afcea core value. The association, in partnership with the afcea educational foundation chapters and members worldwide, presents 1. 4 million annually in scholarships, grants and awards to students in the "hard" sciences attending the five service academies, rotc programs, graduate schools and other educational institutions. The afcea's professional development center (pdc) complements the association's educational efforts by providing a wide-ranging program of continuing education and technical training courses.

College/university scholarships: contributes to the higher education of 8 students dedicated to the pursuit of mathematics and computer sciences. Scholarships range from 2,000 to 1,500. Applicants were screened and scored to determine winners. science fair sponsorship: awards include amounts to a variety of regional science fairs as well as individual and team awards. Awards range from 1,400 to 100. science teacher tools: contributes to 4 high school science departments. Activities include science related field trips, competitions, and special projects.
