Mission

Act-iac is a public-private partnership whose mission is to facilitate the strategic use of technology to improve government. Act-iac provides an objective, vendor-neutral and ethical forum where government and industry executives can communicate, collaborate and acquire education. Act-iac does not lobby or accept government funding.

Causes

Programs

Conferences: act-iac sponsors four major conferences annually where government and industry executives meet to discuss high priority issues affecting the government's use of information technology, develop best practices and forge successful strategies for creating a more effective government. The small business conference addresses the role of small businesses in serving government. The acquisition excellence conference provides a forum for government and industry to identify improvements to the federal acquisition process. The management of change conference brings together program managers and it executives from federal, state and local government to collaborate with their industry peers on operational and program related issues. The executive leadership conference provides a forum for senior executives from government and industry to collaborate on strategic and policy issues. iac general: iac general includes membership dues paid by companies involved in iac. It also includes activities in direct support of the iac membership. These activities include bi-monthly membership meetings and new member orientation. act general: act general includes programs and activities directly associated with advancing government. These include analyses and special projects on high priority it issues. Also included herein is the annual excellence. Gov awards program that recognizes excellence in government it.
