Apprenticeship connections, inc. , (ac) mission is to connect like-minded individuals who work and learn together as mentor and apprentice in short term apprenticeships. Through this unique hands-on educational opportunity apprentices develop meaningful hands-on and small business skills leading to "a means to a beginning. " life-time relationships begin. Ac fosters promising entrepreneurs by developing a local network of small businesses interested in sharing their knowledge with individuals invested in expanding their skills in short term apprenticeships.

Job Training

Since inception, there have been seven successful apprenticeship completions. There is a viable interest in this program because apprenticeship connections protects both parties involved in the process. Ac has received 51 applications to date. We assess all mentors carefully for: experience in their skill, their ability to teach, the success of their business, and their desire to spend the time to pass on their skills to an interested individual. Ac also assesses applicants with a rigorous application process which determines their commitment and ability to meet the demands of working with a specific mentor for 200 hours. Ac's website, an online platform, has been fully functional for one year having been launched in november 2016. It is relevant to a community of people otherwise not served. It serves individuals who are in different stages of their lives seeking a mentor, a discerning person who will guide them through a process of learning over enough time to glean more than some knowledge of a skill. This is a personalized program. Once the two decide they are meant to work and learn together after a rigorous assessment process provided by apprenticeship connections, they decide how they will complete the process within six months. Those who have completed the apprenticeships, have universally continued with what they have learned from their mentors either by working for the mentor, or developing something on their own or working in the discipline learned as an employee of a new company.
