The mission of the american orthotic and prosthetic association is to work for favorable treatment of the o&p business in laws, regulation and services;to help members improve their management and marketing skills; and to raise awareness and understanding of the industry.

Membership servicesto help members improve their management and marketing skills. To raise awareness of the industry and the association. This is accomplished through various means including the publication of a monthly magazine distributed to over 12,000 members, subscribers and other individuals and companies interested in the o&p industry; publication of a bi-weekly newsletter to 3,700 members; publication of various materials and business resources and conducting an annual meeting including education sessions and a trade show which attract 2,200 attendees. government relations & governanceto work for favorable treatment of o&p businesses in laws, regulations and services. Conduct in-person and telephone seminars and training programs on topics pertaining to o&p professionals.
