The mission of Amigos de las Aves USA is to promote the conservation of wild psittacines (macaws and parrots) and their environment in the Neotropics and throughout the world. We have a particular interest in developing techniques for successful reintroduction and translocation of parrot species into the wild and the conservation education programs that are necessary to make these programs work. We also support innovative ways to improve the welfare of parrots in captivity.
