American catalog mailers association has been formed to promote the interest of businesses in the catalog publication and marketing industry. Acmas purpose will be accomplished through various ways including keeping industry members informed of trends and issues, interfacing with other associations and agencies regarding direct marketing through the mail and other formats of catalog marketing, identifying strategic industry issues and concerns requiring public education and advocating for fair federal and state legislation and regulations that effect the members of the industry.
