To expand and improve academic instruction to students of riskmanagement and insurance through an emphasis on the economic,financial, legal, managerial, and social aspects of risk anduncertainty; to encourage research on all significant aspects ofrisk management and insurance, and to communicate the findings; toprovide forums for scholarly discussion of risk management andinsurance matters; to publish materials which contribute to thegeneral purpose of the association; to develop and maintainrelations with other american and foreign organizations withsimilar objectives or interests.
