In 2017, the wyandot county humane society rescued/received 11,868 animals, of which 1,523 were dogs, 9,427 cats and 918 other animals. The organization responded to 413 calls for assistance picking up 812 animals, and investigated or consulted on 18 reports of neglect or cruelty. Also provided were pet adoption services, lost and found to local media and through the shelter website/fb account, a pet therapy program in local schools and nursing homes, and provided information and educational tours and speakers to local community groups and schools.
