The academy of medicine is the professional association that exists to organize, represent, advocate for and serve physicians of greater cincinnati.

The academy works to connect member physicians with other physicians, patients, and the community at large through production of a medical directory, which lists all members, and that serves as a referral and consultation source for other doctors, hospitals and patients. The academy also provides an online physician referral service for community members looking for a physician in the area. All other publications are produced and other services provided for the benefit of members. annual meeting - on september 19, 2017, the annual meeting and awards celebration was held to elect officers, and to honor members for outstanding service. The 2017 annual meeting included awards to recognize physicians for service of at least 50 years, present the daniel drake humanitarian award to a member, to bestow the uc medical student scholarship, and to share a presentation on physician wellness. special event outings - the academy of medicine holds several social events during the year to foster connectivity among physicians and to promote physician well-being. In 2017, the academy of medicine held two such events.
