To advance the science of accountancy and to develop and improve accountancy education through programs focusing on cultural diversity in the accounting profession, ethical business behavior and financial literacy, among other programs

Accounting education and research: the foundation provides scholarships to accounting phd students to help address the shortage of phd accounting faculty at colleges and universities. Currently 110 ads program scholars have benefited from this program. The foundation funds scholarships for individuals to attend the association to advance collegiate schools of business. In this intensive seminar, senior business leaders become professionally qualified for teaching positions at aacsb-accredited schools. The judicial college program serves to inform and educate judges on current accounting and auditing issues. The foundation also provides support for the aicpa library, which is located at and maintained by the university of mississippi and provides a valuable service to thousands of aicpa members annually. Recipients of the john l. Carey scholarship program are given financial assistance for the pursuit of graduate accounting study. There were 5 recipients of this award in 2013-2014. diversity programs: the aicpa minority accounting scholarships provide financial awards to outstanding minority students showing significant potential to become cpas. There were 92 recipients of this award. The aicpa accounting scholars development program increases rising minority sophomore community college students awareness of careers in accounting, improves their financial literacy skills and guides them through the process of transferring to institutions that offer degree programs that meet the educational requirements for cpa licensing. The foundation is a long-time supporter of inroads, a not-for-profit career development organization that prepares talented minority youth for professional and managerial careers in business and industry. In 2013, two interns were sponsored over the summer. The foundation's minority doctoral fellowship program ensures that cpas of diverse backgrounds are visible in college and university classrooms and serve as role models and mentors to young people who are planning their education and careers. There were 22 recipients in 2013-2014.
