The arc of alamance county, inc. Is a not-for-profit organization located in burlington, north carolina. As a united way agengy, its financial resources are used to promote the basic human rights of individuals with developmental disabilities through advocacy services, training, support and information to those individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and to the public.

The organization assists families through the year by providing advocacy concerning various issues including information and referral services for parents, professionals, and interested citizens to the appropriate service provider and or written materials. Free training opportunities are also provided for parents and professionals, as need arises. The organization sponsors a christmas party and gifts for all alamance county residents and residents at the murdoch center in butner, nc that are in need. The organization provides a general sponsorhip of $600 to camp greenleaves which is a day camp provided by the city of burlington and the arc.
