Regular board meetings and the annual membership meeting were conducted, during which various club business items were discussed. Financial performance reviews were conducted, and the 2017 budget was formulated and approved. A social event was held after the annual membership meeting in december, which included a catered meal at the bald head island club with approximately 25 members and guests attending. Members gathered both formally and informally to discuss boating and various marina needs. The membership at the end of 2016 totaled 184. Three resigned memberships were available for sale at the end of 2016. Fifteen memberships were transferred in 2016, three of which were resigned memberships owned by the yacht club. The board of directors was elected, and various club activities and other issues were discussed. Accounts have been funded adequately to maintain the necessary cash flows required for daily operations and future major renovations.
