The primary purpose of the organization is the preservation and dissemination of information on arms and armor.

The organization held two meetings during 2017 which included speakers addressing topics related to the primary purpose of the organization. Approximately 339 members and guests attended the meetings. the organization published two bulletins which are available at the fall and spring meetings for members and guests to view.
