The international mission of the ywca is to eliminate racism and to empower women in order to attain the common vision of: peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. The mission is met locally through the delivery of social service programs as well as programs that enrich the general community.
Ywca crisis services provides free confidential emotional support and advocacy services to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. These services are based on the empowerment philosophy, helping victims/survivors take back the power that was taken from them and help them move forward. youth and community programs offer both girls and boys the tools to make healthy decisions and work to prevent high risk behaviors around issues of domestic and sexual violence, as well as to develop leadership skills. The family education collaborative, a community collaboration, offers parenting education and support programs to all involved in raising children.
