The advanced practice nurses of the ozarks (apno) was formed in 1993 by just a few nurse practitioners in southwest missouri in order to provide networking opportunities. Over the years, the organization has developed into a fully functioning, not for profit organization which offers a multitude of opportunities for education, networking, and promoting the practice of apn's. In 2017, apno held its annual conference, "apn's: caring cradle to grave", with 506 in attendance. Additionally, apno provides ceu meetings for members. See schedule o for additional details.
