Aim high empowers motivated middle school students from high risk environments to strengthen their character, self-confidence, determination, and initiative through a challenging, engaging academic and personal enrichment program.
Aim high delivers a year-round academic and personal development program which served 428 students in 2017. With data obtained from the national clearinghouse, aim high determined that 76% of graduates enrolled in post-secondary compared to 56% of students that applied to aim high, but never attended. The most recent accomplishments from the summer session include students exceeding all targeted objectives. The short-term outcomes for students included 84% demonstrated knowledge gains in 2 or more core subjects, 96% indicate high school graduation as an educational goal and 94% indicate college graduation as an educational goal.
