Recreation and education opportunities for the elderly

It is the mission of the alexandria senior center to provide all seniors in douglas county with daily nutrition, educational opportunities, occasions for socialization, and the good fortune to give of themselves through volunteering while share their life experiences. Our programs and facilites benefit our 250+ members and non-members as well. Special events held during 2012, including aarp defensive driving program and aarp income tax preparation were attended by nearly 1,500 seniors.
