Authors in april brings award winning authors and illustrators to visit the students in grades k-8 in the rochester, mi school district. Books by the visiting authors and illustrators are sold and autographed as a part of the program. Over 10,000 students benefit from this program in an effort to promote a life long love of reading and writing.

Each author/illustrator makes 15 presentations to a group of age appropriate school children over the span of one week. Over 10,000 children, grades k-8, are reached at 15 elementary and 6 middle schools.
