The foundation is involved in the following projects and activities: 1) political marketplace: research program on the political marketplace and the justice and security research programme, in partnership with the london school of economics, which explores patronage markets and hybrid political orders, asking how fragile and conflict-ridden countries really function in fragile and conflict-affected states. 2) how mass atrocities end: provide historical, conceptual, and analytical research on what has actually ended atrocities and how this record can inform policies today; 3) ending conflicts: document and analyze diverse approaches to ending conflicts; 4) global arms and corruption: foster an evidence-driven, accountable and transparent approach to the public discussion of the global arms business; 5) gender and experiences of war and recovery: analyze existing paradigms with the aim of catalyzing new ways of understanding and engagement on issues related to gender and war recovery.
