Program service accomplishments during the year:- hosted two successful bi-annual conferences - both of which offered complimentary continuing education credits - that featured national experts who discussed the latest developments in oncology treatment and economic trends. - supported the advancement of fellows across arizona through several professional development programs aimed at transitioning fellows to private practice. - provided timely and valuable educational resources to members and practices across arizona through co-sponsorship of the state society education series. - continued to be an informational resource for multidisciplinary cancer care teams in az through regular dissemination of oncology news and healthcare policy updates through the website and e-newsletter. - provided funding for asco's young investigator award to help promote excellence in oncology research. - submitted comments regarding the cms macra rule, opps and pfs rules, and the icer methodology for value assessments of oncology drugs. - developed robust educational and advocacy support for members participating in the oncology care model (ocm) through the accc oncology care model collaborative, including workshops, calls, and advocating on behalf of the ocm practices with cmmi. - provided members educational opportunities under medicare's new quality payment program (created by macra) through webinars, calls, and meetings.
