The american occupational therapy foundation, inc. (aotf) support the future of occupational therapy as an evidence-based profession through research.

Causes

Programs

Research programs: the foundation supports a wide array of programs that support research in the area of occupational therapy to include the publication of otjr: occupation, participation and health (quarterly), research grants (5 annually) that further develops the science of occupational therapy through studies and surveys, topic specific collectives - that bring together leading scientists and funding sources in a specific topic area, sponsor workshops and sessions at the annual conference in relevant topics to the profession and provide library services to include cataloging of literature, collection development and fulfillment of reference requests. educational & scholarship programs: annually award over 50 scholarships; provide a fellowship to an individual working on their doctorate or post-doctorate and support students attending the occupational therapy summit meeting. Support the professions' honor society which inducts over 1200 new members annually at the 100 plus chapter level.
