The american academy of appellate lawyers (aaal) has committed itself to advancing the administration of justic and promoting the highest standards of professionalism and advocacy in appellate courts.

Spring and fall meetings were held. The spring meeting was in boston, massachusetts and had 81 fellows and 31 guests attend. The fall meeting was held in san francisco, california and had 80 fellows and 35 guests attend. produced publications and performed other member services in support of the aaal's mission.
