The historical society of baltimore county collects, preserves and interprets the rich history of baltimore county for the education and enjoyment of present and future generations.

Library - assisted many individuals to research ancestry and provide reference services to the general public cultural collections - receive, store and display historic artifacts demonstrating living conditions, life styles and equipment pertaining to historic events or day-to-day life in baltimore county. Farm museum - maintain a barn housing displays of early baltimore county modes of transportation, farming equipment and other items of interest open to the public history trails, newsletter and programs - produce a pamphlet interpreting some aspect of baltimore county history, a newsletter with recent events and donations, and conduct programs for society members and the general public.
