American petroleum institute - acadiana chapter mission is to provide continuing education to those in the oil and gas industry and also to those who provide services to these segments, as well as to foster a healthy community attitude toward our industry. Programs are introduced to improve professionalism, technical knowledge and awareness of issues affecting the oil and gas industry among both chapter members and nonmembers.

Scholarships provided directly to students (11); grant to social service organization (1). general membership meetings with guest speakers; 5 meetings held with 73 attendees at each (estimated).
