Association Of Iowa Workforce Partners

Mission

To promote, enhance, and serve the interests of local workforce investment agencies and system partners in the state of iowa. Aiwp represents the regions which administer the federal workforce investment act (wia) program, as well as other federal, state and local workforce development initiatives across iowa. Aiwp was established in 2000 and currently has sixteen member organizations.

Representation of 16 iowa workforce regions and partners who administer or provide services under the federal workforce innovation and opportunity act to ensure iowa is able to meet the training, education, and job placement needs of the iowa workforce. hosted a conference march 22 - 24, 2017 that provided workforce professionals with quality training on issues such as adult education, customer service, working with youth, employer relationships, and the workforce innovation and opportunity act. hosted a legislative reception on january 31, 2017, to educate state policymakers on the importance of workforce services in iowa. 60 people attended the event. disseminated a quarterly newsletter with resources and updates for workforce professionals and utilized a website, facebook, and linkedin to share resources and news to workforce professionals.
