To promote and further research in business, economics, and related public policy areas.
The association for university business and economic research (auber) is involved with two conferences during the year. Auber annually holds a fall conference for members of the organization, graduate students, economists, and researchers throughout the country. The conference is hosted by an auber member organization and includes keynote sessions related to national economic trends and forecasting as well as breakout sessions for researchers, directors, and communicators. The most recent conference was in october 2017 in albuquerque, nm. Auber collaborates with the national association of business economists (nabe) for their spring policy conference that is held annually in washington, dc. Auber members are encouraged to attend and chair several sessions throughout the two-day meeting. The nabe conference also provides an opportunity for auber to hold its spring board meeting. As of 6/30/18 the association had 51 members representing universities and colleges across the united states. Association members continued to monitor economic conditions in their local areas, and advised public and private decision makers about local trends. Association members worked with their respective university administrators to fulfill their service obligations to the public.
