Advocacy and policy - developing position statements and testimony, lobbying and serving as a resource for federal and state legislative and regulatory entities related to the delivery of quality dermatologic care and skin disease research and prevention. Health care delivery (dermatologic practice)- providing academy members with assistance and education related to appropriately running an efficient practice including compliance with relevant regulations, implementation of health information technology, coding and reimbursement, and general practice management issues.
