Alexian brothers behavioral health hospital ("abbhh") carries out the healing mission of the catholic church as an alexian brothers ministry by identifying and developing effective responses to the health needs of those we are called to serve.

Inpatient programs: in fiscal 2017, abbhh had close to 5,800 admissions with an average length of stay of 8. 05 days. Adventist health system sunbelt healthcare corporation and ascension health, the sponsors of adventist midwest health (amh) and alexian brothers health system (abhs), respectively, entered into an affiliation agreement that established the joint operating company, alexian brothers-ahs midwest region health co. The dedication and promise our caregivers show every day to our patients, their families and each other is deeply rooted in the new name - amita health. group practice: a team of experienced psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers and professional counselors, with extensive sub-specialty certifications, provide therapy to individuals, couples and families. Abbhh inpatients may also utilize this outpatient care after discharge. In fiscal 2017, there were approximately 116,400 outpatient visits in the group practice. outpatient programs: abbhh offers partial hospitalization (php) programs also known as day treatment programs for adolescent and adult patients whose symptoms are stabilized and under control. The php programs offer a highly intense treatment regimen over a short period of time in order to help individuals move comfortably back into the community. In fiscal 2017, abbhh served more than 4,900 cases with more than 32,000 visits related to these cases in child/adolescent, adult, eating disorder, self-injury, chemical dependency, obsessive compulsive disorder and school anxiety programs. Abbhh also offers intensive outpatient (iop) programs. This low intensity level of care is offered to all age groups for all psychiatric and addiction needs. In fiscal 2017, we served over 2,400 cases and offered more than 23,000 units of service. other program services: the access department at alexian brothers behavioral health hospital (abbhh) offers mental health assessments and level of care screenings free of charge to those in need. In fiscal 2017, this department provided more than 14,256 screenings to children, adolescents, adults and older adults.
