To provide medical education to osteopathic family physicians and promote the profession of osteopathic family medicine.

American college of osteopathic family phisicians ("acofp") promotes public health, encourages scientific research and supports high standards of osteopathic education. Acofp has approximately 22,000 members which includes both physician and academic memberships. Of these members, approximately 7,200 are physician members paying membership dues amounting to approximately $2,420,000 for 2017. Benefits to the members include continuing medical education programs and events, the "osteopathic family physician" journal, discounts and other benefits.
