To serve as a national association for cooperative extension service professionals working in environmental education, fisheries, forestry, wood sciences, range, recreation, waste management, water, wildlife, and related disciplines. And to promote, advance and develop natural resource education and communication among it's members.

Community Improvement & Capacity Building

To discuss, develop, sponsor and promote activities and programs at the national level that advance natural resource management, education, training and diversity with natural resource and environmental education extension professionals. To promote cooperation on natural resource issues amoung various governmental agencies, private groups and realted industries. To strengthen communication with extension administration at all levels.
