The purpose of the association for medication education inc. Is to develop and provide educational opportunities for consultant pharmacists to gain current clinical and operational knowledge to positively affect the care they provide to patients.

Ame senior care education conference description: ame provided continuing education through three live programs in 2017 at three different florida locations. The programs featured expert speakers who educated senior care health professionals on clinical and operational topics designed to improve the care they provide to senior and geriatric patients. Services provided: continuing education for consultant pharmacists, pharmacists, nurses, and nurse practitioners. Number of persons benefited: 2,650 in 2017 consultant pharmacist preceptor program description: ame's ongoing preceptor program facilitates preceptors for newly licensed consultant pharmacists. Ame educates newly licensed consultant pharmacists and connects them with current consultant pharmacists of record at health facilities. Services provided: education and career development for newly licensed consultant pharmacists. Number of persons benefited: 26 in 2017 pharmacy student education initiative description: ame's student education initiative provides education to current students enrolled at each of florida's colleges of pharmacy. Ame educates students on the profession of consultant pharmacy and the practice of providing medication therapy management to geriatric patients. Education is provided through in-person presentations and printed materials. Services provided: education and career development for students enrolled in colleges of pharmacy in florida. Number of persons benefited: 180 in 2017
