The addc conference in boston had over 100 professionals from the academic drug discovery community in attendance. Thirteen prominent speakers from academia, industry, and the nih discussed the interaction between drug discovery and reproducibility of biomedical research. The conference was planned around a series of talks and panels by industry, academia and government scientists, as well as editors from leading journals to lend perspective and brainstorm practical solutions. the academic drug discovery consortium website provides content to members about opportunities, educational materials, and job listings. The website saw an increase in sessions (53%), users (74%) and page views (12%) compared to 2013. the project database will be a central resource of projects that need a corporate partner at drug discovery centers. This will help facilitate the crucial step of finding that partner that is necessary to bring the benefit of the drug discovery center's efforts to the public. The database is not yet operational and is still being constructed. the industry rfp program provides opportunities for academic groups to partner with industry around validated targets. The rfp program was announced to over 1500 members and professionals on the addc newsletter. Five projects were selected to partner with astrazeneca, gaining access to a representative compound library of 250,000 compounds.
