Provide low income housing for disabled individuals. The corporation owns an 11 unit apartment building that was funded by a grant from the us department of housing and urban development. Tenant rents are subsidized by prac section 811 contract.

The corporation was formed to comply with us department of housing and urban development requirements in respect to federal section 811 funding to purchase and renovate eleven housing units at 1215 catherine street in key west florida. During the year, occupancy was at 99. 8% with little turnover. Because key west is among the highest cost of housing in florida, the need for low income disabled housing is high. Tenants are assured their rent and utilities will only be 30% of the income they receive. Generally tenants are disabled and unable to work, so they receive social security and disability income. The corporations affiliate, ah of monroe county, inc. , provides additional services to tenants to assist them in maintaining their health and quality of life.
