Ywca hartford region is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. This multi-service, membership organization provides childcare, youth leadership development, emergency shelter, supportive housing, and financial literacy.
Childcare services - include year-round early learning centers for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers and school-year before and after-school programs (for approximately 500 children). housing programs - include an emergency shelter for women, transitional housing, and permanent supportive housing (serving approximately 150 individuals a year). teen services - the young womens leadership corps (ywlc) helps approximately 150 young women ages 12 to 18 to become active leaders through community service learning projects and education workshops. Teens as successful parents (tsp), a teen parenting program, ended in october 2014. maintenance of summer camp property; economic advancement-the ywca hosts financial literacy and racial justice training and programming; community facilities
