The alliance for innovation is a network for innovative local governments and private companies working together to bring cost reductions, service improvements, and productivity increases to the public sector through the implementation of technologies, processes and ideas.

The organization provides networking, education, training, and workshops to update members on projects, programs, and innovative ideas initiated by other governments. Also, the organization puts on a national conference showcasing innovation efforts in local governments and webinars on topics of interest to local governments.
