The mission of the youth violence prevention council of shasta county is to prevent youth violence and promote a safe and healthy community.

We have had numerous youth respondents go through our court, which divertedthose cases from the juvenile justice system with a recidivism rate as lowas 7%. We continue to coordinate graffiti eradication efforts across thethree cities and the county, as well as shasta youth leadership camp.
