American indian changing spirits is a community-based residential program for the recovery from alcohol and drug addiction for american indian men. Service is not denied to other persons based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.

The organization contracts wih the county of los angeles drug and alcohol residential program to assist 12 men to rehabilitate their lives. Services are for a period of 180 days, during which each man is given counseling, training, and therapies to assist in efforts to improve their lives by becoming sober and returning to their work and family. If they need employment when leaving, they are given the opportunity to search working on their sobriety. There is a plan made for after care to maintain their sobriety. the organization contracts with the county of los angeles drug and alcohol programs for the rehabilitation of men under the residential program. Each man is to stay as a resident up to 290 days. During that time, he is given counseling and training to facilitate his rehabilitation and reentry into his family and society. He is also given an opportunity to seek employment or training to start when leaving the facility. There is an after care plan made form them to continue their sobriety and rehabilitation. the organization contracts with access to american indian recovery aair to serve men in their effort at rehabilitation for a period of 30 days each. During that time, men live at the organizations facility and receive counseling and training to help them rehabilitate and reenter society and their families. If help is needed with gaining employment when leaving, they begin their search for emloyment or training while at the facility. There is a plan made for their after care to assist in maintaining sobriety.
