The mission of the alameda education foundation is to coordinate programs that support educational opportunities, equity, and innovation for k-12 public school students in alameda, ca.

Enrichment: provides over 400 after-school classes and summer camps in music, art, drama, foreign lanuguages, technology, science, and more serving over 3,000 k-12 alameda public school students. Includes college prep programs for high school students. adopt a classroom: provides $500 grants to teachers that they use to support innovation and learning opportunities in their classrooms. These donations come from the community and the foundation gives 100% of each donation to the teacher. We prioritize giving to teachers who are most in need at lower-income schools to help address equity issues in our schools. We adopt close to 200 teachers each school year. middle school sports: an after-school organized sports program for alameda public middle school students (6th - 8th grades). Over 650 student-athletes participate per year. Our program includes an academic tie-in to support academic achievement among participants. Sports include volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and track & field in the spring. provide additional support via a school supply drive, organizing an ongoing display of student art, and celebratory event honoring school programs and volunteers.
