The mission of the alabama farmers federation, a nation's leading farm organization, is to ensure unlimited opportunities for our rural and agricultural community, through active, well-informed members, emphasing education, research, governmental action, economic service, environmental stewardship, leadership development and fellowship.

More than 300,000 members were served through various programs, including governmental affairs, commodity programs, public relations and publications. Each member regularly receives a publication called "neighbors". The magazine, along with the website, keeps members informed on issues that affect them.
