Aime supports its member societies by exercising fiscal responsibility, distributing funds, facilitating interaction with community, enhancing collaboration amoung the member societies, and honoring the legacy and traditions of aime.

Grants to encourage collaboration among the member societies and support efforts that cut across all disciplines; awards, scholarships, and endowment fund grants to support specific programs such as distinguished lecturers, students, young professionals, and the technical libraries; representation for its member societies at joint functions among the engineering community, sharing best practices and other collaborative efforts to work jointly for the greater good of the profession and society as a whole.
