Programs

The july 4th celebration is a free admission, daylong celebration of the july 4th holiday. Included are community activities including a pancake breakfast sponsored by the salvation army with 100% of ticket sales going to support their programs. Also includes a community parade with military, veterans, community groups, police and fire department, and local politicians. Approximately 20,000 people attend this event. the mountain view street fair is a free, one day, event that focuses on the diverse community of mountain view. Mountain view street fair takes place in the clark middle school parking lot and includes food and entertainment as well as important access to information on health, social services, community projects, and local businesses. Attendees have access to free services such as vision, dental, and hiv/std testing along with tons of kid friendly free activities including live music and dancing, bouncy castles, rock walls, bird tlc, booth displays, and a magician full meals, including ice cream and hot dogs, are donated and offered to all attendees at a discount price. An average of 4,000 people attend the mountain view street fair annually. trick or treat town: for the past 25 years this innovative indoor event has provided a warm, safe place for families to enjoy a favorite holiday tradition-trick or treating. Families trick or treat in anchortown, where replicas of historic and iconic buildings allow us to introduce the history and development of our city to young people in a fun and engaging way. In addition to the 40 plus candy doors along the interior street, families can participate in activity stations and enjoy a variety of age appropriate entertainment.
