Paying travel expenses for state scholastic champions to attend national invitation tournaments. Maintaining websites (alabamachess. Org, chessinschools. Us) to promote chess, chess competition, and chess as an educational tool. Promoting and managing the alabama chess in schools initiative in partnership with the alabama state department of education, to provide teacher training, consultation, and program support.
