Initiatives in 2016-17 included re-launching acmis online resource listing, the ism resource center with its categorical listing of dozens of resources to assist those engaged in international student ministry. We were also involved in a significant ism research project, in collaboration with directors of isms across the country. Out of that effort, came a database and software subscription in which we have and can view on a map the locations of over 1,000 ism workers/ministries across the country, as well as an updated list of evangelical churches in the u. S. Engaged in ism. In addition, our association management software subscription continued to serve well for receiving new and renewing member forms and payments, and was used to handle annual conference registration. The software subscription includes the acmi member portal with member profiles and an online searchable membership directory was added during the year. The biggest program of acmi is the annual conference. The 2017 conference was held in virginia beach, va june 8-10. The conference had approximately 215 in attendance. There were five plenary sessions, and over thirty break-out sessions geared to help equip and encourage ism workers. Acmi maintains an e-list among its membership for announcements and for discussion of issues relevant to international student ministry. The official website is used both for the benefit of members and for contact with the public about the purposes and offerings of acmi. A particular weblink is designated for helping ism workers make crucial connections for international students in transition. As a network, acmi helps those who are engaged in the strategic work of international student ministry including its approximately 290 members in 15 countries, and many others through conferences and online offerings.
