Zaytuna college aims to educate and prepare morally committed professional, intellectual, and spiritual leaders, who are grounded in the islamic scholarly tradition and conversant with the cultural currents and critical ideas shaping modern society.

Undergraduate program: the college commenced its inaugural year on august 23, 2010, with a freshman class of 15 students. There are two liberal art majors offered and the college curriculum emphasizes key foundational texts; an in-depth examination of critical methodological issues; a solid command of the arabic language; a familiarity with the most important islamic sciences; and a firm grounding in the social sciences and the humanities. This curriculum also fulfills the requirements established by the most rigorous accrediting organizations of american higher education. summer arabic intensive program: this program ran from june 19 to august 8, 2017. This 6-week program provided introductory and intermediate level students with a rigorous, complete-immersion language experience in an arabic-only environment. The summer program hosted approximately 21 students from the us enrolled in introductory, intermediate and advanced level classes. Zaytuna hired qualified arabic teachers to participate in this summer program and invited scholars from various universities as special guest speakers for weekly lecture series. By the end of the program, students who successfully completed all the coursework were given certificates of completion and 10 units of credit.
