To improve the quality of life in the winona area by: educating the public about the practice of philanthrophy and its benefits both to donors and to the community; connecting people with charitable intent and resources with organizations and causes that can advance the public good; gathering, preserving, and stewarding philanthropic resources; collaborating with other charitable organizations; serving as a catalyst for selected community initiatives; and making grants to projects and causes that address both the needs and the opportunities present in the community.

Connecting donors with charitable needs through diligent stewarding of donations, winona community foundation continued to foster its mission in 2014 with over 300 grants disbursed. The foundation continues to grow its capacity to not only manage and administer charitable dollars, but also partner future gifts with new identified needs, as well as better advocate and facilitate community conversations on such needs to ensure the most impact in the use of these charitable gifts.
